The recent recruitment of 50 staff nurses on contract basis at Zoram Medical College has taken a controversial turn. According to reports on social media, candidates who didn't even face the personal interviews have been listed among the newly recruited nurses. Some also reported that there are candidates who do not have the mandatory nursing registration in the selected list.
Many candidates, along with nurses working in ZMC, have shown their disappointment with the recruitment procedure by refusing to continue their medical duties in the past few days.
Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Mizoram has demanded the Director of ZMC to provide clarification statement regarding the controversial nature of the recruitment.
The Director has been ordered to give the statement to the Secretary, H& FW Department.
