Lalchhandama Ralte, Minister of School Education met Anita Karwal, Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education to discuss various issues related to education in Mizoram.
The Minister conveyed the need for the recruitment of Hindi teachers in the state and the Secretary, MoE agreed that 314 Hindi teachers will be recruited under the condition that all the recruited teachers should be fully trained teachers.
In response to thr Minister's concern regarding the Myanmar refugees, the Secretary also said that the rhe Centre will provide educational facilities to the Myanmar refugee children in Mizoram. The government of Mizoram has already extended school admissions to refugees so as to provide equal educational opportunities for all. The Secretary requested the Minister to send the statistical data of refugee school children from which the Central government will provide the aid accordingly.
