The lockdown-induced economic crisis has deeply affected the livelihoods of daily wage workers in different parts of the globe and the situation is no different in Mizoram. On account of the four month long Lockdown in Mizoram and the rise in the number of positive cases since last year, many families in Mizoram are facing financial crisis. many are truggling to make ends meet for their own family with the shrinking prospects for work and the long months of total lcokdown has severely affected the income of many families.  With the imposition of partial and total lockdown since last year, employment opportunities for daily workers have been reduced at an alarming rate. The state government have released funds from the CM Relief Fund to thousangs of families in different districts but the financial crisis is still a reality for many families.
