To combat the rising positive case in Mizoram, 10 ICU beds have been installed at Zoram Medical College, Falkawn which is the lone Covid dedicated hospital in the state and the only RT-PCR lab. Dr. R. Lalthangliana, Health Minister inaugurated the newly set up ICU beds and tweeted that more ICU beds will be installed in the coming days.
Mizoram is currently one of the worst-hit Covid states in India. Considering the population of the state, the average number of covid cases daily reported by the state is alarming. The central government has sent a four-member team that will virtually hold a review meeting with all the district chief medical officers to assess the situation.
