Mizo Professional Boxer and one of the most successful boxers from the state, Sangtea Tlau will face Ilia Beruashvila at the People's Fighters Boxing Event at Conrad's Hotel, Dubai. Sangtea currently holds the title of WBC Youth World Super Feather- Weight Champion.
People's Fighters Event is set to start at 8:00PM on Saturday night. Sangtea's fight is scheduled for the seventh fight and will take place at around 10:30. Zonet Cable TV is the Media Partner for the People's Fighters Boxing Event and the fight will be broadcasted live on Zonet PPV Channel. The show will also be a available for viewers on Book My Show website for Rs. 100.
The upcoming fight stirred up quite a controversy among boxing fans regarding Sangtea's contract with Sete Boxing Academy, Mizoram. But clarifications have been made by Sangtea through his official Instagram account where he stated that his contract with the Academy was terminated on 20th August, 2021 and that Termination of Agreement was signed between the two parties.
