After representatives of Mizo Merchant Association (MIMA) made a request to the Chief Minister to revise the current guidelines regarding the opening of shops, Chief Minister Zoramthanga said that he has agreed to the opening of all business shops on a daily basis.
Yesterday, the CM sat down for another meeting in his office with the representatives of MIMA where he assured them that the current guidelines would be revised in favour of the merchants. The Chief Minister aslo agreed to make arrangements to open Spa, beauty parlours, gyms and movie theatres in the revised guidelines. MIMA officials said that the Deputy Chief Minister has also expressed his support regarding the opening of shops and that immediate measures would be taken to the best of their interest. Currently, shops in the AMC area are opened on an alternate basis.
