As the Covid-19 crisis in Mizoram continues, the state government has made an appeal to the Federation of Mizoram Government Employees & Workers (FMGEW) for financial aid.

FMGEW leaders were approached by Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, the Chief Secretary and other authorities from the Finance Department regarding the financial problem faced by the state government. The representatives of FMGEW were given the assurance aid that the  money, if given, will be used solely for matters relating to Covid- 19. 

In pursuance of the state government's appeal, a meeting was held today which was attended by one representative from each department under FMGEW. The meeting, held at Vanapa Hall, came to a decision that all government servants registered under FMGEW will contribute their one-day worth salary to the Government of Mizoram to aid the state the on-going fight against Covid- 19.
